It had been a week since the ship had blasted off from its last planet, bringing with it a fresh set of eager cadets ready to prove themselves. While the majority of the crew continued on with their lives and duty as normal, the new fresh cadets were still hyped up to start their new journey.
Not only had they succeeded in graduating from the arduous and prestigious Star Corps Academy, but both landed amazing opportunities on a top-of-the-line starship. The pair of long time friends knew they were exactly where they were supposed to be, and were feeling more than confident about how their lives would be for the next standard year serving on the Aleria.
Dondo and Ron quickly went through the food line, Dondo opting for a lean steak with a side salad while his bulkier companion Ron opted for the double cheeseburger. Ron said in between chews of his burger. See, really we only need to haul ass when we are either leaving or approaching a planet or space station. The rest of the time, well we just gotta look busy when the supervisors come along. I tell you what man, it just feels so god damn good to actually be doing something in the real world and not in a damn classroom or training warehouse.

You know, the one you missed because you were drunk off your ass? My bad. Anyways, which one did you meet? Her name is Stella. Seemed to be a pretty nice girl from our brief conversation, seems to be on the shy side.
Was able to talk to her for a few minutes while we were sampling a few wines at the Ceremony bar. Did you score? But it was not meant to be, a lot of activity and everyone was meeting everyone so we soon went our separate ways.
